In the preferences there should be a browse button which allows the software to point directly to a folder, without showing the rest of the tree structure.
Thus configured, barring malicious intent, no more risk of a tragic error by someone who does not know how the software works.

gives :
official-decision.pdf

Ideally you should keep p as the third parameter to know if we start from the beginning or the end of the string.
Adding a fourth parameter indicating which occurrence of the searched string (first, second, x) should be used for substr would be a real improvment.

I would like to view the help file as a pdf.  Is this possible?  Or would you make it available?  Some programs
have the help file as an external file, i.e. .chm, but yours seems to be internal to the exe file.

Groupings therein are represented by a leading two-digit number. This is followed by a hyphen and a three-digit dec/binary size indicator. Finally there is a hyphen and a two digit file number.

My 'problem' is that it may happen that a certain Grouping has to be included between existing files, meaning that I have to rename all files from file [X] onward, keeping the original numbers but increased by one. So files with '19'  go '20', files with '20' go '21', files with '21' go '22', etc. ... as far as I understand one would require a temporary files table or 'top-to-bottom' rename mechanism to avoid double filenames. Can Siren do this? Everything I tried did not work (but then I may be plain stupid). Thanks in advance!

Siren can load "OEBPS/content.opf" but cannot load "item/standard.opf" for metadata information.
According to container.xml, there two different file structure.

Because the publishers follow The Electronic Book Publishers Association of Japan and Digital Comic Association in japan.

Do you still provide a download link for Siren 2.01?
You know, some people prefer small size of executable (0,5 MB <> 9 MB).

Me guess you have removed the download as you can't guarantee
that it still works with nowadays operation systems.

But maybe you can provide a hidden link without any announcement but which I can share with others.
Or, am I allowed to share my version of Siren 2.01 with others? (nothing big planned, just with some forum members)
But better (more official, looks more secure) and more easier to share for me if you would provide the download.
