Topic: Math Capability

First, thanks for a great program!

My problem is I just returned from a vacation.  As I was travelling 8 time zones away from home, all my photos have EXIF data with the time 8 hours off of local time.  I would like to rename my files using the EXIF information, but adding 8 hours to the EXIF time.

For example if the result of '%Xdod %Xdot.%e' was '20060501 061823.jpg', I would like to have Siren change it to '20060501 141823.jpg' giving the local time of day when the photo was taken.

I hope I made this clear for you.  I think it might be a great feature for others with the same situation.

Thanks again for the great program!

Re: Math Capability

First, thanks for the compliments !
Then, a question: if the exif dates are "wrong", why don't you modify them ?
That way you'll keep the coherence of your renaming shema.

Re: Math Capability

Do you know of a program where I could add 8 hours to the EXIF info for 850 files?  To do this by hand would be enormous.  It does make more sense to do that, though - but I still don't know of a tool.

Re: Math Capability

For this kind of task i use the excellent Exifer.
Select the files and go to "Exif/IPTC", "Edit", "Exif data" and "Date".
Exifer has rename capabilities too.
Based on your previous posts i think it can fulfill your needs.
