Topic: Siren not working unter Windows 7 64bit

Hi,

I'm using Siren now for quite a long time ... thanks for this wonderful piece of software.

Unfortunately I have switched to the Windows 7 RC1 64 Bit (because I have just assembled a new computer and wanted to try this system).

Siren starts OK, but as soon as I open the "Siren - Completion" Window, the application crashes. Everything else seems to work just fine. Switching to any compatibility mode (tried XP-SP3, Win95 or "always admin") doesn't solve the problem.

Is there any possibility to check this or to provide a native 64bit version in the next time? This would be great, because otherwise I needed to switch to another tool (I tried some, but none of them makes me so happy as Siren).

Welcome to this forum !

I've already made several tests under Windows7 32bits. All seems ok with it.
After reading your post I installed the last RC 64 bits in a virtual machine and I've had the same problem with the completion window.

It looks like a compatibility issue of the 64 bits version. As it is a RC version maybe a next one will solve it.
I don't think I'll investigate deeper before the final one comes out.

Thats good news ... at least the bug is reproduceabel on your machine as well.

I will keep going with Siren and hope that the final version of Win7 will not have this problem any longer.

I think I can live without the completion window until then ... :-)
